Imagine the absolute clownshow of the Dems trying to figure out what to do and who to run instead lmfao

They literally have nothing, there is no plan B

FDR famously had a bad phobia of the number 13, like he avoided doing anything or traveling on the 13th day of the month. He'd also leave rooms if there were 13 people in it. He was kinda woo.

Nixon was afraid of hospitals, but I don't think he ever explained why. I've always thought he had some kinda superstition about them.

Were there any other explicitly woowoo presidents? I know the first few were afraid of getting buried alive, but that was a common fear in old timey times.

honestly picturing some Parasyte-esque anime where the president has been subsumed by the morphed hand of his, and she's in communication with some spirit realm, using presidential power to put the earth in as prime a state as possible before ripping open the portal so they can take over our planet. Hunter Biden is the protagonist.

it was a bigger deal when medical science had less of an understanding of how to check if a person is still alive. There was a poor understanding of things like comas, and it was particularly bad during cholera epidemics. Some older graveyards have these pulley systems with bells that extend down into the coffin, so a person trapped can ring the bell and get rescued.

One famous example is the Roman emperor Flavius Zeno. He got buried alive after becoming sick and unresponsive, and got saved after someone heard screaming from his sarcophagus. Edgar Allan Poe also wrote a few stories about it

the past really sucked in a lot of ways

I remember lending a book that was a collection of his short stories from the library when I was like 11-12, and this one story about being buried alive fucked me up so bad I didn't sleep for weeks lol
