    "We've all but cured cancer"

There are over ten million deaths from cancer every year. I'd say there's a way to go still.

"cured cancer"= reduced mortality rates in certain specific cancers through exorbitantly priced treatments that only the wealthy can afford.

It's obvious he's one of those morons who think cavemen ate meat every day.

Cavemen also had a rigid gender roles and social hierarchy. The alpha males got the meat first, and they ate a lot of it because they're alpha and male, so by the time it was the turn of women there was often none left and they had to eat grass which is why women eat salad and vegetables

My favorite thing to describe is one of the only instances of the death penalty being used in a nomadic society we have was when a high-born prestige male just wouldn't stop hitting on other people's wives and not sharing his food, so eventually they kicked him out of the tribe, but then even the next tribe over didn't know what to do with him, but he eventually got into a fight that killed someone so the entire extant community ended up hunting him down and killing him, every person taking their turn to stab the dead body as symbolism. Like, the amount of expected reciprocity in those societies is so much more than in modern society.

    we've basically cured dementia

What is he even talking about? Is he talking about the drug the FDA approved despite their entire panel of scientists telling them not to and multiple people resigning in protest because it doesn’t work?

Way to prove that all climate change deniers are just hopeless consoomers that don't truly not believe it's happening, but hate the consequences that come with us being right means they have to give up bourgeoisie decadence. They're pathetic hedonists driven by pleasure above all else, and really do not deserve to call themselves anyone's superior. They are no different than a pig that rolls around in the mud.

That's right, we're coming for your Funko Pops white boy.

There was a study not too long ago that said something like half of Republicans support government action against climate change. The grift's gotta shift.

that's honestly pretty nuts. i mean "government action" is a pretty vague proposal but to hear the shills talk about it the all of science is a conspiracy by jewish elites to blow up your F350.

I thought this guy was Scott the Woz at first glance.

    steaks are now outlawed

    sicko-wistful

Not torturing and murdering animals for food is progress.

I mean its something, that libs can do, at best. But as Malcolm X said

"If you stick a knife in my back 9 inches and pull it out 6 inches, there's no progress. If you pull it all the way out, that's not progress. The progress is healing the wound that the blow made.. And they won't even admit the knife is there."

I can use the same logic for the things We've supposedly innovates:

Cancer? We can innovate, but I can't smoke 5 packs a day?

HIV/AIDS? We can innovate, but I can't have unprotected sex with randos all the time?

Yes, for all crises, you are going to have to change your life in some way.

This is like building your house on sand and then discovering years later that doing so might not have been a good idea. Instead of correcting the mistake and redoing the foundations of the building you say "Nah mate we need to progress not go backwards!" and then your building collapses and you shocked-pikachu

    Complete and total idiocy.

No context but just a random reminder that Plato describes a mostly vegetarian diet with fish and chicken on occasion for meats as the ideal diet. Lo and behold, the "Mediterranean diet" is seen as one of the healthiest. If you must have meat, then seafood is objectively the way to go, but still get the bulk of your foods from vegetables.

Once again, we are dealing with people who are mentally 8 year old boys on the inside "eww vegetables yucky!" mindset and all.

The “muh steaks” rhetoric goes back to the medieval era when the peasantry ate weird scraps of meat and poultry while the nobles got the prime cuts of beef. It’s a mentality that having high QoL means living like a petty monarch (see also, manicured lawns, cars as personal chariots/carriages).
