      They replaced so many of their engineers with MBAs that the sensor backend is excel and the frontend is powerpoint. It's held together by a completely inscrutible vbscript written by a network engineer who just wants to be left alone until retirement.

    I hope these astronauts make it back, but also it will do a hell of a lot more for society if they don't. Might be enough to completely crater Boeing.

      If Boeing craters there will just be another Boeing. The way to fix this specific problem either forcing any company that makes safety critical products to be employee owned, or something like requiring c-suites maintain a p.eng. and have to sign off on products explicitly.
