14 me's music was more edgy and depressed than current me's music which is a hell of a lot less edgy.
For example I listened to a lot of Parachutes from Coldplay, Sleep Party People, Portishead, Radiohead, Bjork, and so forth when I was 14.
Now my tastes are broad and varied. Quite literally from Latin-American rap to more modern Indian social commentary and interpretive dance music, to even Indonesian City-pop, although I tend to listen mostly to Hoshimachi Suisei or Ado
I used to listen to a lot more metal, I still do sometimes but I haven’t heard as much in recent years that inspires me. Except for industrial metal, that has stayed consistently in my rotation along with industrial at large. Still enjoy jazz, although I find I play that more than listen to it. And certain bands I always come back to, Rush, They Might Be Giants.
Different things I listen to these days, well I listen to some vaporwave but that wasn’t a thing when I was young so yeah. Also, lately I’ve really been getting into breakcore, and I definitely wasn’t into drum ‘n’ bass when I was younger.
