Fortunately/unfortunately the SRA is essentially just a loose confederation of local chapters, so your experience depends entirely on which one you're in. If you're in an area with some degree of overlap with another chapter you can generally request to join the other one instead, but YMMV.

I've seen squads of JBGC people walk around at some of the recent protests. The proud boys in the area likely have comparable numbers to these folks.
