I've heard a few people sing their praises, and a few say that they're not worth it. Some cost $80, some are $400, but I don't really know what makes one better than the other, or either of them better than a $20 glass pipe.

Sometimes if I'm smoking every day I'll develop a cough, so I'm guessing that it's not that great for my lungs. Would a vaporizer be better?

Infinitely healthier. You're taking in water vapor rather than burnt carbon

Also it saves you a ton of money long term because it's so much more efficient

1 gram of joints last me 3-7 sessions

1 gram of bud with my Crafty+ vaporizer lasts me no joke probably around 100 sessions. It could be dozens less or dozens more but it's so many I can't even get a good estimate in

You can also save the spent herb and make edibles with it. Vaping effectively decarbs it and it’s something like 90% as strong as fresh herb that’s been purposely decarbed.

It’s really no contest when it comes to efficiency and the vaporizer can pay for itself pretty quickly if you use it enough.
