It's not a paradox if it fits together like that, it's just a little weird. Actually not even so weird, plenty of people sleep with their friends' moms and this one didn't have the baggage of a huge age differential.
The paradox would be in Dark Fate where John gets got in his youth, making it exceedingly unlikely that Kyle would get sent back.
