Yeah, it is some double-edged sword situation, where she on one hand is as you say part of the pipeline to the left, but she can also be a pacifier if you then don't go further along that pipeline.
Although now thinking about it most people who support her general ideas should at some point become disillusioned by liberaly democracy and move further left. Theoretically at least I guess.
