Do you mash them to get a consistency similar to ice cream?
Nope, I just pop em in my mouth like cold and crunchy popcorn. That is a good idea though, I’ve never encountered bean ice cream before and it’s a good idea.
I've made red bean and similar Chinese style bean paste with sugar and non-nutritive sweetener. Traditionally it would be wrapped in glutinous rice or something. I've frozen it but I think to have as an ice cream it would need to be pulverized with an appliance like a pacojet or creami.
Do you think raw bean or add like almond milk or something? Never heard of those appliances, but surely a blender would do?
