Just constantly having their world shattered because they fundamentally believe in the system but the system doesn't give a fuck.

I’m proud of my wife, for many reasons, but when it comes to politics it’s when she saw firsthand and on the news how the police reacted to these protests that she realized the rules don’t matter. She asked me, “Why are they doing this?!” and I replied, “Because they can.” She immediately got it. Libs are playing chess and the person across from them has a loaded gun. The other person says, “All the pieces on my side can act like the queen, but all your pieces have to be like pawns.” The lib cries out that not only is that unfair, but it’s against the rules! The other person shows their gun and the libs quietly concede and hope that maybe they’ll still win if they play by these new rules and are a little more cunning. The right, and capital, don’t have to be smart or cunning, they just need a monopoly on physical violence and the lawmakers. Something can be against the law, but the law is just words on paper, and those words can always be rewritten.

Exactly! What law and what order are they even talking about? Is it just law that protects people or unjust law that protects property? Is it order that ensures the best tranquility for all people to thrive, or is it order to maximize profit and power? I think we all know the answer to those questions.

but what if on my 111th birthday... the child crying in the corner whimpers

your fucking wizard friend will steal your magic ring and give it to your second cousin once removed! the teen sulking on the couch grumbles

do i still like wizards? the term has a lot of unfortunate history. the young adult muses from the window sill

dear god i hope im dead by then. the adult in the room thinks to themself

Do they realize the right feeds off them being simpering cowards?

Quite the opposite. Libs think being performatively devastated will makes Cons feel sorry for them and stop.

    I will always appreciate prayer

It prevents conservatives from doing something materially dangerous, if only a little

And some of you people insist we should not be too harsh on religious individuals.

I'm convinced that like 10% of evangelicals are pretty serious believers (although that means they have some really shitty beliefs, like eternal torment of everyone but them) while the other 90% are really just conservative white supremacist types in it for either socio-political reasons or just as a way to meet people. Either way, I agree with you, just saying I don't think we'd lose much if we didn't have religion.
