Did the people next to her just scoot away for fear of being associated with her?

I'm certain those invertebrates are so self-absorbed and selfish they weren't even thinking about her, they are just thinking "I hope everyone sees how much of a strong supporter of Israel I am. Hawkishness is cool and good when we do it".

All these servile cowards that spouted off about 'hIsToRy Is WaTcHiNg' when hogs stormed the capital, when SC justices decided to screw them are now just clapping like seals for a man who is in the midst of committing an open ethnic cleansing

    agony-immense

Not one other squad member next to her. Makes me feel sad and enraged that she's just left so isolated like that.

I hope my kid sees the bottom picture as often as i saw the top one. It's a powerful image, especially in a social media world, someone standing in defiance of the crowd.

This post is cynical garbage lol. This image is having a massive impact on people. Dont underestimate the impact of "theatrics".

Some of y'all will find a way to be obnoxious cynics about everything. Even an actual Palestinian woman holding a "guilty of genocide" sign in Bibi's face in the middle of congress. Fuck off tbh.

ETA: The fact that you actually think adverurism, which I thought we all agreed was useless, would be better than this is saying something.

ETA2: also how is participating in a Zionist government but not partiicpating at all in the actual Zionism at all similar to working for Lockheed Martin? You have lost the plot completely.

Unless I'm misreading, she's literally doing points 1-3 in your list above, especially 3, using her platform to decry this genocide in front of a large audience.

There are bunch of different tactics that could be used when faced with this situation. Some would make a bigger scene, skip the address entirely, protest and speak out front of Congress during the address, resign. I can see why one could be upset with this decision but she chose to do something and it's more than any of the other ghouls in Congress have done. I'll give her my critical support. It takes a lot of guts to stand up to the amount of people in that building - not to mention all the people around the country fuming over her theatrics. that being said - she's a politician like the rest of em and they suck.
