Amazing. Human art is becoming so advanced, pretty soon they'll be taking AI jobs.

I love this piece. The palette is so earthy, yet the subject matter so synthetic. It's a beautiful juxtaposition.

The earliest reference to this piece that I can find is from a few days ago on Facebook. No other more "official" source than that, unfortunately.

I think what impresses me the most about this is the way that you can tell that it is raining in this painting.

The way the light is reflecting above the roof of the train, it is the same as the way the light catches the rain when it is bouncing off the rooftop of a train at night. That's some damn good impressionism.

Not just features but highlights too, there's some really incredible lighting being created using very clever texture for highlights.

A masterclass in the usage of shading, to be sure. The rails are created simply with the ridges of the paint casting a shadow.

This is likely impasto done with palette knives judging from the texture. You can get a lot of neat textures in paintings that way.

My partner paints a lot and she could tell it was AI just by zooming in on the strokes, but said that when it's zoomed out it's pretty much impossible to tell

It's actually really interesting how no one in the comments could tell that this image was computer generated. What does the future of art look like when something like this can be automated?

I had serious doubts when looking ag the point of fuge, seemed imposible to make with spatula, but since I'm no painter AND the place I stole it from said it was made by a person,
