    What's the difference between digital yuan and the old system where you have a normal bank account and the money is transferred their Alipay or something like that?

    Edit: wikipedia article says it will reduce costs and inefficiencies but does not explain how. I guess if they don't have to mint physical currency that would help with that. But I don't know enough about money to know is that is the case.

        Moreover multiple slurp juices can be used on a single digital yuan. If you have three slurp juices and one digital yuan you can create three new digital yuans. When Xi has amassed enough slurp juices he will unleash the unipolar hegemony of the Chinese economy.

        It doesn't use blockchain. It's a central bank digital currency. It uses cryptogrsphic properties to enable things like offline transactions, but it doesn't use a blockchain distributed ledger system, last I heard.
