Just realizes, has anyone else here legit hung out with owls? I volunteered ar a wildlife rescue and had 2 barred owl and 2 snowy owl pals. From first hand experience, Wil Menaker is stoked as hell, it's hard to hang out with an owl and not be and also owls are really easy to deal with compared to a lot of other birds we had and I totally get why they're the stand in animal for wisdom, they aren't even the smartest birds but they're the nerdiest, they like showing off how cool they are.

You probably can. If you're in an urban area finding a ride or driving to the country might be a thing but wildlife rescues aren't uncommon and owls live all over the world. This one was a quasi zoo as far in that for a pretty to tiny fee you could have a look at the enclosures these dudes had to Iive at anyway. I hope there's similar situations elsewhere. They can always use volunteers and though it'll be scooping poop and cleaning mostly at first you'll get introduced to the animals by the seniors, if.its anything like my situation and considering it's volunteers and ecologists burning grant money for a living, they're generally really happy to teach you a lot about animals and how they operate and how those particular ones are. If you can find a wildlife rescue to work with even for a bit, I strongly recommend. You will learn a LOT about local ecology and aminals and also you'll make some really cool friends. Sometimes those friends are even people but gotta be real I remember all the animals more. There was the cuddleist goose EVER named Squonks. I cannot overstate how adorable Squonks was. Every kid in Canada has had their asses kicked by a goose as a toddler, Canada geese pick fights and if you're the same size they will give you a light smack down, we all have goose trauma. This fucker was like a golden retriever. Squonks supervised new people and constantly Will nuzzle you until you realize Squonks is all about scritches atop the head and under the bill. Squonks cuddled me through a really bad day once. Also I had my coyote bois, they liked me cause I took the time to hang. They are basically just a household dog if left in the woods for a fee generations, they aren't scary and they're pretty cute. In contrast I don't think you can really appreciate how absolutely badass wolves are until you've cared for them. They're amazing animals on a lot of levels, but I was muldoon with the raptors with those dudes as was everyone else. You know you are one failure of technology away from having your guts ripped out with wolves, or at least the ones we had who were injured in the wild as adults and rescued. Lived with a half wolf half husky at the same time and while.that dog was cool as hell, you treated her different than the rest of the huskies and didn't push as hard or play fight. There was also a brown bear there who I got to pat on the head, I was feeding this dude for over a year and we hung out through the cage for hours a day, and even after a long long time I was scared as hell trying this and can genuinely say even if you think you're that cozy, be less dumb than me ar age 19, however it does mean I get to say I scritched a bear behind the ears once and because I didn't lose an arm (once again, I was feeding and hanging out with this bear for over year twice a week and at the time I knew I was being dumb and now there's not a chance in hell I'd do this), but yo, I petted a bear.
That sounds so cool to do. We probably have a lot of specialists dedicated to marine life here. Manatees, turtles and the like. I wish could see a Manatee, they give me the same awe that elephants give most people. And though we don't have wolves, we do have alligators (and like 3 surviving mountain lions).

Owls are awesome. I’m very attached to the one(s) nearby who I can hear at night during the colder months. They have a very silly version of a typical owl call. The ending notes sound like “haha” so I imagine they are adding a lol to the end of the message.
