It made me irrationally angry reading it. Maybe because I'm a dude who tried to find a way out of my home area for years of my life, and very nearly joined the military just to get out (had other options, I'm lucky I genuinely enjoy teaching children and helping them). So having a close connection who cares about me and wants us to support each other getting out, I don't get how you don't want it instead of freaking out that you can't keep being a manchild and quoting the Purple Guy.
