    These people probably need mood stabilizers. And I’m not using mental health as a joke or a weapon against these lunatics, I’m being serious. It’s absolutely bizarre to make this entire conflict your personality, especially if you have no actual connection to it. I’m Israeli-American, a proud Zionist, and live in Israel, but when I visit the states I don’t walk around draped with the Israeli flag. I also don’t comment עם ישראל חי or put the Israeli flag on any and every social media post that involves Arabs or Muslims - even if it doesn’t mention the conflict. You know, like they do to us.

    Dog your president just came to the US and had politicians clean his underwear lol. Like a spoiled brat who doesn’t understand that his parents are Santa. Shut your ass up and step on an IED.

      this asshole doesn't walk around draped in an Israeli flag because he knows he'd get fucking rocked by an anti-zionist

      Israeli-American

      So American

      draped with the Israeli flag

      Disturbingly lots of Israelis do actually feel the need to have the Israeli flag somewhere on them, and some do actually wear it as a cape. I recall a reporter who briefly went on Joe Rogan (can't recall her name; she was subjected to her videos on Israel, years and years of work, deleted from her channel on youtube without warning) who said Israelis tend to display the flag somewhere on their person including wearing it as a cape, so this person probably mentioned the cape part cause she actually has one.

    Damn, must be nice to turn off your brain/soul long enough to not think about a genocide. I just have random moments in the middle of the day where I think of dead kids.

      Or how he doesn't recognize that there is a real material connection between the American taxpayer and the weapons we give to Israel to blow up those children.

    Next time someone mentions the Holocaust we are to say "why should I care? I had no family or friends in Germany in the 40s."

      No. Let's not dip our toes into antisemitism, sister.

          Yes, but one of the main difficulties with dunking on zionism is how easy you can stray into really shitty postition if you aren't paying attention to your takes.

          Exactly, obviously the holocaust was horrific and it's very reasonable to care about other people even if you have no direct connection. I've seen a couple people say things like "why do these student protesters care so much, they aren't even Palestinian." It just tells me the people saying this have a different idea of compassion and humanity than others.

        I agree, I'm pointing out how heartless this argument is, you don't need to be connected to a group to have an emotional response to their suffering.

      I have no connection to it. I’m not even benefiting from using it as an excuse to condone genocide today. The Holocaust is a complete non-issue to me.

      What's really funny is that I often wear print shirts with fruit on them like pineapples and watermelons because I think they're cute, before I even thought they could be related to something else (swingers or Palestine). Good to know I'm triggering zionists with my twee clothing choices.

    No Man Is an Island

    No man is an island,
    Entire of itself;
    Every man is a piece of the continent,
    A part of the main.

    If a clod be washed away by the sea,
    Europe is the less,
    As well as if a promontory were:
    As well as if a manor of thy friend's
    Or of thine own were.

    Any man's death diminishes me,
    Because I am involved in mankind.
    And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
    It tolls for thee.

    How dare you have an opinion on something when you have no dog in the race.

    Kinda screams of someone who doesn’t have empathy for people different than themselves. Like what?
