"we realised....we live in the fucking Middle East"

Correction, you realized the country you chose to occupy is in the Middle East; maybe occupy a country much closer to your guard dog America next time (or maybe just don't occupy someone's country at all; just a thought).

I too have problems in the home I invaded; I thought I invaded a home in Venice, turns out I invaded a home in Africa and all the people who suffered occupation and colonization for over a hundred years weren't happy a new occupier was settling in and eradicating their neighbors. Clearly they're the problem.

Seriously, does this person think if they'd occupied Tuscany and started slaughtering all the Italian people that neighboring countries would shrug their shoulders and/or cheer them on? Do they think if their Tuscany based government attacked neighboring countries in Europe that those countries would be like "yes daddy, strike me more"

EDIT: Just went to this twitter page and realized actually this person is quoting something and this isn't his thoughts (clearly, given the posts he's making)

If Tuscany were openly backed by the US, yes the europeans would in their feverish desire to worship america

Uhh... fine let me explain the joke: Islam creates a pretty strong comradery between Islamic nations. You fuck with one Islamic country they are way more likely to support their brethren against the infidels.

So the equivalent would be fundamentalist Christianity to replicate that response against say evangelical invaders that attack catholic Tuscany. Of course western ideology is only about the money now (including Roe v. Wade in a roundabout way).

Ithas been not many decades since Tuscany bombed its neighbours and genocided its own "non citizens". Last time they did it they got thoroughly bombed and its leader turned into christmass tree decoration

I'm trying to figure out what Tuscany is but google is strong-arming me into thinking it's a place in Italy.

Two big weaknesses of the Israeli settler project are:

    1. It's easy for a lot of them to go back home, and
    2. They expect safety and high living standards.

Compare this to the settling of the American west. There was violent resistance from the indigenous that was relatively far more dangerous, but going home meant an arduous months-long journey, and the settlers by and large didn't have a place with high living standards to return to anyway.

Maintaining a civilian occupation when a lot of those civilians can just take a flight back to a comfortable existence is a potentially fatal flaw to the project.
