Cuz this isn't a scripted statement you read off a teleprompter, an incredibly softball interview or even a debate where your opponent is using kid gloves like Biden is used to and comfortable with, this is as an actual hostile human opponent.

A predictable opponent to an extent, sure, but not 100%.

It's very possible for Trump to come out of left field with something Biden didn't fully expect, causing him to trip over himself and maybe not even get back up.

Chris Wallace will probably try to help Joe where he can, but there's only so much he can do.

If Trump seems significantly more coherent than Biden, itll probably be the start of a shift in momentum that ends Bidens chances. Like Trump doing that three debates in a row would be horrible for Biden.

Are there people on the fence between Biden and Trump, who are also tuning into the debates?

The only fence people are on is Biden vs Not Voting and Trump vs Not Voting.

There's probably not a huge amount, but if Trump was like 2016 levels of coherent and Biden was at the lower points he's been at this year, it'd be pretty bad. I think the bigger issue isnt that theres people on the fence on who theyd prefer but on the fence about spending the time to vote for Biden (or to a lesser extent Trump).

Yeah, that seems right. Bidens hard push he is getting people to vote and making them think its worth a trip. It wouldn't be hard if it was me ($2000/month for quarantine, M4A, green new deal jobs, etc), but all he has is idpol and blue maga
