I recall a video of....I can't remember the spokesperson's name at this moment (he's the guy always front and center explaining why the government is going to let Israel engage in genocide) being asked if Iran had a right to retaliate after literally being attacked, if Iran has a right to self defense. His answer? We really think Iran would be making a mistake in engaging in revenge or retaliating.
So basically Israel has a right to conduct war crimes and people should let it happen. Not sure what planet any of these people think they live on.
That's Matthew Miller, same guy who was asked his thoughts on the Lancet article that showed that there are upwards of 100,000 civilian deaths in Gaza and he said it was "unacceptable." You know, despite the fact they clearly are accepting it.
I'd call his smirk the one intended to make the person asking the questions look foolish (the gaslighting smirk), the only problem is it seems to be his only facial expression.
