I primarily like psychological and sci-fi films, movies like
Gattaca: mostly love the colors, cinematography, props, and general feel of the suspense of being caught.
Bladerunner: again I like the colors and the stellar cinematography, props and sets are really good.
The Machinist: similar to the movie Enemy, I consider this to be one of my favorite films, the score is really fascinating but I love the silence in these films, there’s also a darkness almost like dream like / night mare like feeling to them I can’t describe but I say recommending films similar to these films would be nice.
Suspiria: another one of my favorite films, the use of color is great, I like the slow progression and the relationship between characters. The acting is really good too. I have to give my respects to the original that came out in the 70s/80s as the sets are spectacular but the story is vastly different. I prefer the newer adaptation it feels like it compliments the time it was set in well.
Just a few of the films I want recommendations for thanks for helping
Solaris, Harakiri, Mishima, Brazil, The Double Life of Veronique, Belle de Jour, A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove.
Oh strangelove really rules. I love George C scott.
Oh, he was awesome in that. I actually only just watched Dr. Strangelove for the first time a few years ago but, damn, I love it!
It's such a subtle anti-US/NATO/Nazi movie too. Soviet Union seems extremely reasonable. Most libs don't even notice, but that's typical I guess.
Yeah its very well done. Its also has this element of a false flag and deniability.
It does show ussr as a country that has to contend with the rabid imperialist west. Even the bombers and the way they talk when entering ussr is perfect.
