I went to bed last night disgusted, dejected. I woke up this morning, reflected on a country that has collectively codified the idea that people should go bankrupt if they get sick, has shrugged off mass killing a classroom or two of 6 year olds, and has put two geriatric rac(p)ists on a stage for a selection in a sham pageant, and realized we got the debate we deserved.
