not only that but, before Russia invaded Ukraine, Biden said that if Russian tanks entered Ukraine, there would no longer be a Nordstream 2. And a journalist asked him (paraphrasing) how that could be the case since the pipeline is a German asset, and not just a Russian asset, and Germany is a US ally. And Biden just doubled down on his guarantee. And Victoria Nuland also made similar remarks.

It really rocks that two presidents in a row would just blurt out stuff they hear in briefings to the press lol

You don't have a link to Biden saying that handy, do you? I'd like to file that away for later.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=b3fUd8hmgy8&t=718 (warning: there's a pretty loud high-pitched beep right after he answered, audio is kinda crappy in general. C-SPAN (timestamp: 12:22) has better quality (but still a beep) if you want to make your own clip, but obviously YouTube is easier for sharing)

edit: here's a C-SPAN clip on YouTube of just that question. I originally opted for the full livestream since it would avoid accusations about context, but I think this fits the bill. Also I fixed the earlier C-SPAN link and noted that it also has the beep, my bad!
