I've never listened to cth, cumtown or trueanon amd have no interest in starting now. I just politely upbear whenever y'all make gags referring to those shows
cth is pretty mid these days but still worth a listen every now and then
cum town is joever and the adam friedland show is garbage
true anon is still good
it's probably best you don't listen to podcasts tho. i hate being a podcast user. makes me feel so cringe.
Oh don't get me wrong, i listen to podcasts, just not those ones i don't think not listening to them is a barrier to understanding the humour amd culture here, so i don't feel obliged to go back and trudge through
I had to give CTH the side eye a few times but gave up entirely after their white fragility episode. There's a lot to criticize about Robin DiAngelo but none of that was brought up and it all turned into a case study of "mentioning white fragility will expose white fragility."
Their book readings and Call of Cthulhu campaign were still pretty good tho.
True Anon feels very bloodless and sad now. They really feel scary-kooky.
to be fair, i got into it very late, within the last 6 months. when was it better? any episode recommendations?
I liked a lot of the original Epstein episodes. I feel like the golden age was until the 9/11 episodes where they did a last great hurray. And the Finkelstein interviews.
i've not heard any of the epstein episodes. i'll check those out, thank you thank you
I tried watching it, it’s just so depressing and melancholy. They really decided to ditch the funny fat guy, act like they’re on oxy the entire time, and name the show after the unfunniest member of the trio.
That was the joke. The problem is that the show hasn't done much since that initial joke.
Although some of the interviews are pretty good, especially the Chris Cuomo one, surprisingly. Also their skits were consistently great; haven't gotten one of those in awhile though
The norm interview was wild, I don’t think I’ve seen him genuinely laugh before
the funniest part of TAFS now isn’t even the program its self, it’s all the people on plebbit who act like stav is their dad who went for milk and never came back. they all act like he contributed nothing to the show, isnt funny, and never was. meanwhile complaining that, just coincidentally ever since he left, it just happens to be terrible now
