(I'm sure that I'm just preaching to the choir here, but I need some place to vent my thoughts.)

I have heard a lot of people talking about how voting for Biden actually gives people breathing room to fight the fair fight as opposed to Trump who will just slide America into fascism. I am not an American and may not be able to fully comprehend the dangers you face, but I do understand the drive to make your family, your friends, your comrades, and the society to be a little bit more safer.

But Trump did not come out nowhere. Barack Obama rode into the White House on the hope that he will solves the chronic problems America faced. Instead he continued with the terrible policies started in the first place by G.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Nothing changed for the better. He vanished all the hope and dreams of progressives, while creating the conditions advantageous for demagogues such as the Tea party and Trump. And now, even without his direct connection with the Obama's administration, Biden still makes people worry if he is going to do the same things as Obama and help plowing the land for figures like Trump or even worse men to rise.

Therefore, I wish to ask all of these people who post said point: Will you continue the fight after Biden have won? Be honest. You yourself have said that Biden is a disappointment, he is not going to make things substantially better, and the only reason to vote for him is that he will not make things worse. But then Biden wins. Are you willing to do the things that will actually help to make things better like join the unions, organize labor, go on strikes, protect immigrants and help them settle down, facing the fascists on the streets, etc.? Because if you don't. I afraid that even more people would be dispossessed under Biden, thus open an opportunity for more nutcases to hold power.

I know that this is the Internet, and most of us are just lazying around here. In fact, there is the incentive for the Internet and or the American election system to make us lazy and disillusioned. And so if you want people to get off their butts and do something, then why don't you use your sincerity and your actions to convince them? Do what you preach, and show it to us! Show that you sincerely want the better for the underclass of America! Don't make people think that you only care just enough to vote, and then after that you check out for another four years.

The George Floyd protests are relatively independent of trump (the killing happened in a blue state). Unless biden makes massive police reform (he won't) then those arent going away. Biden makes few promises about making the country better, his only real policy is not being trump. Things wont get better, and people will have no choice but to fight

What I am questioning that how many people would actually realizing that they have to fight, or will just vote and forget about their choices? I truly believe in the people who are out there on the streets, but what about other Democrat voters?

Dont get me wrong, millions of people wont do shit. Biden's base (rich whites, the elderly) was never gonna do anything either way. But many are on our side, more than in recent history
