It's reassuring when something you avoided in the past purely on vibes alone turns out to be problematic

Ever think about how one of the main characters in that show is a serial rapist and somehow sometimes it feels like the main character is a shittier person

I think Neil Patrick Harris did the heavy lifting here. I don't even know if he's considered a great actor but he carried the character. I'm sure he was picked after he played basically the same role in Harold and Kumar

Ok but my favorite fan theory is that Robin is a trans woman afraid to come out to her transphobic friend group.

Her newest video is about Family Guy being transphobic. Which kinda feel like it doesn't need 40 minutes of discussion. It's Family Guy, every form of bigotry is there.

A deeply problematic fav of mine and after having watched the entire run many, MANY, times over the years... yeah... its pretty transphobic.

Probably comes from me watching it for the first time in like 2016, found a box set in a giveaway pile and didn't have internet so ended out having it on in the background. There's a few good jokes here and there but the characters are just SOOOO mid 2000s toxic

it's sort of wild to me the number of times i've seen the whole run and i'm sure now that i wouldn't be able to stomach that.

Its that thing where its not all the time, every episode, so I wouldn't have noticed until I started getting more... enlightened I guess... about transphobia and it suddenly stated popping out at me.
