    cri That's adorable.

    I have a theory that humans want to support each other so much at their core. And because they can't do that effectively in a capitalist society, but they still have the desire ingrained so deep that it manifests onto pets and even inanimate objects.

    Because under capitalism it is more socially acceptable to care about things than people.
