Just my take, but I don’t remember seeing any of this drama on the subreddit and I think a lot of it has to do with size and small(er) group dynamics.

Like for all I know there was equivalent nonsense going on, but the scale of the sub and the amount of content basically meant that you did not have to engage in the drama.
