    most of the states dont really count write ins at all. there are "regulations" about them, which means they just chuck them all out as being noncomplient.

    plus theres like a dozen states where they outright state "lol no"

    edit: off the top of my head, vermont, new hampshire, penn. and oregon all accept write ins. theres probably a couple others. its not a lot

      And yeah what the fucking fuck are states doing dictating rules for the federal elections.

      Idk at this point its like pointing out logical inconsistencies with some specific religious sect - it's a fun academic practice but, like.. Yeah it's obviously all riggy

        edit: yeah, obviously it is just massively problematic for states to create rules regarding federal elections. somehow neither party seems to care about that though. for some reason. cant quite figure out what that reason might be
