As far as I know and have read, Larian actually gave its workers time and resources to complete Baldur's Gate 3 under bearable conditions, so I'm all for spreading this meme, even if it's in an old and tired Wojak/Chad format.
I'm not one of those "harmful worker conditions are fine if I enjoy the treat" alienated and insulated consumers so that actually matters to me.
No colorblind options. Big middle finger to their own employees who I'm sure had at least one person that's impaired. Also to gamers. It's 2023 there's no excuse to have other accessibility shit and not a colorblind filter.
Fuck larian
No colourblind options, yet. We gotta keep bugging developers about this.
I didn't know that. That sucks because I've long been a supporter and advocate for accessibility options, no matter what the supposed "way it's intended to be played/vision" bullshit claims of toxic fans otherwise say (such as "waste of developer resources").
Fuck.
“We're certainly doing overtime as we're getting close to release,” he said. “Now, definitely, in this last month towards release, things are tenser because it's just a lot of stuff that has to come together, and it's very hard to do that nine-to-five.”
Do you actively guard against crunch - are you on the lookout for it?
I think the team as a whole guards against it, but necessity sometimes happens.
yeah nah there was crunch, when both the CEO is admitting it, and the glassdoor reviews also corroborate this
even ignoring the rest of production you don't have the suits suddenly move the release date ahead by a month at the last second and not have crunch
Well, damn.
I retract my uncritical support to Larian and replace it with conditional critical support for being less terrible then the current AAA industrial standard then.

Fuuuuuuuuck.
Also fuck Rockstar too. If I made the meme I would have removed the positive mention of them.
Baldur’s Gate 3’s release was moved to be 3 weeks earlier because instead of setting an unrealistic date and going through a horrible crunch to finish it they gave themselves plenty of time to do it right and didn’t even need the last of it
Edit: I was wrong, although it does sound like the crunch wasn’t nearly as bad as the big names. The ideal amount is 0 though.
Also they timed it not to coincide with the Starfield and Armored Core release dates. Still, they presumably were only able to manage that because they were ahead of schedule.
