Yeah when I think about how depressing Youtube comments can get, people recalling their illnesses and talking about how medical technology saved their lives is really about as good as it gets.
Yeah, they're depressing because you know the thousands of people commenting "this bed saved my life" are only doing so because anyone else that was in that bed is dead.
Yeah as someone that has been in an ICU recently and had hardware put in my body that will improve my quality of life/allow me to live for much longer (you can probably find it if you dig though my post history) I try to see those comments as positive, otherwise I'd be depressed about my own situation
