On Oct. 2, USCIS issued policy guidance in the USCIS Policy Manual to address inadmissibility based on membership in or affiliation with the Communist Party or any other totalitarian party.
As of yesterday, members of communist parties may not emigrate to the US. Details are here text of the law is here
I don't mean to be be a bother but do you mind elaborating on this? I was born and raised in CA but this is the first time I've heard of this. If not, could you point me in the right direction?
Oh, I think I got my reds confused. I thought you meant cool Commie reds, not gross GOP reds. My bad! I did learn something, though: I didn't know it was illegal for a Communist to hold public office in CA 😬 :angery:

I don't think the law is enforced, I assume if they wanted to make it an issue it would probably get ruled unconstitutional.
