    Modern day Bruce Wayne

Hmm...a billionaire that uses his fortune in a seriously misguided, ego stroking, "quest to save humanity" instead of using it to do anything that would actually help? Checks out

It’s extra funny when you remember that not too long ago, CHUDs were like “yeah, I’m like the joker! I admit it! We’re all nihilists that want to cause suffering for a laugh!”

The honkler meme, the Nazi who dressed up as the joker on Omegle and everyone was cheering as he shouted slurs at innocent minorities, the gamersRiseUp subreddit. Wonder how it all fell out of fashion?

I think there was a collective moment of existential crisis where the emptiness of their pop-nihilism became scary rather than cool as a lot of them got older so they sought some causes to concentrate their internal hatred and external fear and bigotry, and because of clumsy 40k blue curtain shit a lot of them starting going tradcath and the like, or at least "cultural Christian." up-yours-woke-moralists

I know we keep having similar discussions but I really have noticed just how much “framing” goes on in politics, both left and right (but moreso on the right between liberals and conservatives. Materialism thankfully seems to be a good barrier from this thinking).

It’s like too many people gave up on actually addressing and solving problems but having different ways of going about it, and moreso all about crafting a good story. It’s like with Kamala Harris and emphasizing “storytelling” as discussed here on LinkedIn and in this New Yorker article all the way back in her 2020 run.

They've so thoroughly given up on the dire state of their material conditions that all they can even visualize is fighting and maybe winning culture wars. marx-doomer
