I'm not an expert on the guy but apparently he gets openly homophobic and transphobic on Facebook.

I am not terribly familiar with Cockshott one way or the other, but even supposing a very pessimistic interpretation of him, screaming suicide-baiting on a forum he will never view doesn't help anyone.
