tbf they were finally allowed into government after a brutal civil war and basically had all their demands met which resulted in a supermajority in favor of maoists
its really bad afaik, based off of some interviews ive seen from a variety of sources. its mostly because india is blockading supplies and they have to import everything from shenzhen across the himalayas. china is doing some good work and are boring a tunnel through the himalayas to nepal for highspeed rail, but thats still a ways off. you cant easily import things via air across the himalayas either, so this is a huge deal for nepal if they get the rail network up.
