It's good that Democrats are associating the term "socialism" with countries widely perceived to be successful, though. If socialism = Sweden in their minds, we can work with that a lot easier than if socialism = horrible totalitarian dictatorship with no food and only drab grey buildings.
That's generally accurate, although I'd say (based on the OP) Democrats don't associate imperialism with socialism because Democrats don't see imperialism in general.

In the embedded tweet they had a chart showing rankings. For Dems it's those three Scandinavian countries, Finland, and then China, nd then Venezuela and Canada are tied, and then Russia. For chuds it's those three, then fucking France, then Sweden and Denmark, then Canada, and then Finland, Norway, and fucking Brazil basically even. They are ridiculously wrong in their own ways.

its really bad afaik, based off of some interviews ive seen from a variety of sources. its mostly because india is blockading supplies and they have to import everything from shenzhen across the himalayas. china is doing some good work and are boring a tunnel through the himalayas to nepal for highspeed rail, but thats still a ways off. you cant easily import things via air across the himalayas either, so this is a huge deal for nepal if they get the rail network up.
