Billions of people play games, mostly on their phones. It's a prole as anything can be. Like beer and fried potatoes levels.
If someone is paying thousands of dollars while using it as a flex or even an advantage over the poor (ranging from "Tenpenny" creeps on Fallout 76 to Star Citizen purchased-a-bad-latin-space-fascist-forum-rank-here), that does signify some bourgeoisie association to me, likely from the failson of some boomer asshole that owns a boat dealership.
