When I hear Americans say shit like Keebler Elf and Gerber Baby I'm like "What the fuck?"
It's actually vuvuzela gommunism if the sugar blasted corn syrup flakes don't have a furry on them.
Realer heads know this is just a reskin of an earlier game released in Japan.
Even realer heads know that the Noid ads were ended because of a hostage situation started by a schizophrenic man whose last name was Noid.
I actually own a copy of it
Got it in a mystery 5-pack of NES games
Pretty sure it was
- Yo! Noid
- The Guardian Legend
- Dragon Power
- Spy Vs. Spy
- Raid on Bungeling Bay
Raid on Bungeling Bay was an early game by Will Wright that inspired him to create SimCity. The name sounds weird until you remember that the Bungeling Empire were the bad guys in Lode Runner. Not to be confused with the US, the Bungling Empire
that spy vs spy game was actually really novel and interesting mechanically, but screen-peeking breaks it a bit.
Gotta tape a cardboard blinder in the middle of the screen.
The virgin Burger King vs the chad Hungry Jack
Is Hungry Jack like a character in the ads? I'm just picturing a big ol' uncle type Aussie guy named Jack and every ad is just him sitting alone on a couch watching TV going "bloody hell I'm hungry," smash cut to him eating a burger, smash cut to him back on the couch watching TV saying "now I'm not hungry!" and he smiles and there's a cheesy tooth grin effect
🇦🇺🍔 ✨
"Hungry Jacks: eat a fuckin' burger or something dickhead"
Proud sponsorer of the AFL
Showing my age here a bit but back in the day a lot of the throwaway merch you'd get at birthday parties there was distinctly royalty-themed. Looking back it made zero sense without the context but as a kid I didn't even question why we got given cardboard crowns. I guess a lot of the marketing was just imported from the states without thought to the name change.
Did Hungry Jack's have the Pokemon movie gold cards in the Pokeballs too? That shit was incredibly tight in grade school
Oh now you're asking the wrong person. That'd be a bit after my time.
The only ones I really remember were all the McDonald's characters. That was really peak capitalism, wasn't it? Buying garbage fast food and toys of the characters used to advertise it.
People are saying I've made one of the best deals of all time with "the Grimace." We love it!

I guess they're similar to Australian "large vegetable/produce" monuments, but from a different time.
