I went to a weirdly religious public highschool (and jr highschool) in the United States where I was one of the few not-Christian students, with an LDS principal and more than one psycho-Christian teacher/coach who believed that Obama was the anti-Christ

I went to a rural religious high-school, shit was so weird man. The whole time they had this narrative about the Intolerant Liberals who want to silence your free speech, meanwhile I saw people get bullied for having slightly left-leaning views. I couldn't be open about my views at all. Moving away was extremely cathartic, at least

I was one of those kids that got bullied! lol. I used to argue with people in middle school because I didn't think abortion was murder and we had a lot of "abstinence only" sex ed people come and talk at our highschool. I went to youth group for a few months freshman year because I had a crush on this girl that went to my friend's church but after I stopped going one of my other "friends" yelled at me because I didn't want to go to this wack-ass "Christian Students Club" at my PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL and kept asking me if I believed in Jesus. but most of them ended up married and/or pregnant by 22 lol

we had this one mormon dude come in (a public school, mind you) and explain to us how jacking off to porn makes your wife hate you. this was in my sophmore year so like only a few years ago??? crazy that this shit is still going on.

same here lmao, the hyper-religious Jesus crusaders were always the ones doingthe most drugs and getting arrested, partying, etc. Not that any of that is super bad or anything, I just think it's funny how hypocritical they were.
