I consider myself a marxist, but do not support either country. Lenin and Mao did some good things and I'll credit them where I believe it's due, but what China and the USSR eventually became is not something I can support. Based off what I've seen on this site it seems you're not allowed to be a marxist unless you also support these states. Is there some lesser known tendency of marxism that doesn't require support for these states?

      yeah that's true, I think they all share the quality that they are ok with AES "up to a point," but for many of the others it's basically when the revolutionaries win and take power wheras with MLMs it's different. For the record I tend to understand MLM = Gonzaloist.

      I feel like this is a fairly common viewpoint, we just don't talk about it as such because we're wary of feeding CIA narratives, but I think in the right context you could get a lot of imaginary points posting that sentiment here.
