In case anyone doesn't know, the character is a 17 year old SA victim who is wracked by guilt after a fire she started killed her abusers and her mother.
They have the media literacy of a child, to say the theme is "people dying all around you" tells me the poster is entirely unaware Angela is a SV victim.
I haven't even played the game and I know this, these people actually hate games and just glom onto anything they think might cater to them and pander to them
Everyone in that image (except for Angela, of course) deserves to be shot.
I can understand if you spend all day looking at gooner subreddits so you cannot recognize that both images are extremes and the ideal is somewhere in the middle, and everyone who is halfway reasonable can understand that BOTH of these images suck
Because I have brain poisoning, I immediately saw this as a political parallel with liberalism incrementally becoming fascism. The liberal is able to recognize gooner behavior when it is more extreme than his own, but is unable to recognize his own gooner behavior for what it is, because he has an eternally receding horizon of greater goondom to compare himself to.
