You can't just leave a raid group. That inconveniences 24 people just to save your mom and you don't even know how long she'll be on fire. Your stats will look terrible if it doesn't outright cost you DKP.

I haven't heard this, I believe she died at a hospital to complications related to COPD. She was a hoarder all her life and was breathing in fucked up molds and fumes I'm sure. Asmon quit college to stream and "watch after his mom" and their house was still a rat infested disease pit when she died, he had the money at the time to hire some people to clean the house up or get a nicer place but he didn't. She died from living in squalor, which is extremely sad. It's also sad that Asmon seems to also be a hoarder who lives in these conditions as well, even though he isn't poor like his mom was he just chooses to do so.

He should have gotten his mom to better living conditions. It was his responsibility and he had the money to do it, and she was suffering from medical issues and needed his help and he was negligent in his care. I don't know anything about her burning to death though

I think he was napping at the time, but she was a longtime smoker who insisted on Asmongold getting her cigarettes, even though she was on oxygen. That combination led to an accident that sent her to the hospital and she died later. I don't like the guy at all, but I feel bad for him in that specific circumstance, because you're stuck either being an enabler or exerting your will over someone you're supposed to be supporting who is otherwise still capable of independent decisions.

She also had respiratory issues from living in a moldy hoarders house her whole life but that's hardly Asmon's fault. If you have any family who are like this you know how hard it is to get them to change. He could pay for a clean new house and she would make it into a hoarder house within a couple months, and if you hire people to clean then they get pissed. They hate their stuff being taken away and psychologically cannot part with anything. He still should have done it though and had the hard conversations with her, instead of just letting her wallow in filth and wallowing with her when he had money to fix it.
