    "AI-enhanced and enlarged"

Oh, so you mean edited to the point it can't be used to discern anything?

reminds me of a scene from one of the wizardry books by rick cook. they fly a dragon over the atlantic (IIRC) and the pentagon gets some shots of it. it's obviously a picture of a dragon. so the top brass have the interns "enhance" the picture until it's possible to see it as a very bad shot of a soviet spy plane.

""Korean-like"" body language indicating submissiveness and respect

Or POW-like body language indicating harsh, possibly illegal treatment and a fear for his life?

Usual racism from the Ukranian nazis and their anglo supporters aside, there are ethnic Koreans that live in Russia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koryo-saram) and I'm wondering if western media didn't really do their homework of "east asian looking" Russians.

edit: after looking at the photo more, the uniform looks American/Ukranian? as I've seen those patterns before worn by them.

Looking around at all the Koreans around me...

That dude looks like the least Korean Korean I've seen yet, he honestly looks sorta south-eastern asian. Also isn't he speaking in Ukrainian dialect?

And the Russian federation includes several republics of central Asian peoples, who might "look" more or less Asian. This person could be Kazakh or Altai for all we know.

To the usual russophobe all Russians are Slavic and orcs, but turns out a big country has a lot of ethnicities within it.

Yeah and some of them are ultra religious evangalists and extreme pro Nato today because of south korean missionaries. Funfact the famous soviet singer songwriter Viktor Tsoi had korean ancestry.

South korea's been evangelizing there lately in an attempt of wooing back enough ethnic Koreans to try and offset the declining age demographics.

Problem is that the Kazakh Koreans have been integrating into their new home so well that should they try to expatriate back to their grandparents fatherland they actually face some racism.
