I like cotton swab and ear pick type ASMR. Lately I've been listening to some animated ASMR channels (my favorite) like sato ASMR and hayang ASMR. I almost exclusively listen to it at night or when I'm trying to sleep.

Feel free to drop your favorite channels, TikToks, or twitch stream ASMRs btw, we would all love to be exposed to more artists!

And if you don't watch ASMR, comment why you don't. Maybe the rest of us could change your mind!

I read this sentence and went "ew," so I suppose that's why I don't listen to ASMR.

      bird-mad

they're ear cleaning tools and are usually used on high quality mics made for ASMR like the 3Dio, not real people.

okay that makes it better, I was imagining someone cleaning out their ears right next to a mic lmao

          spoiler

Now you can definitely find that type of ASMR, but most of it uses those expensive microphones I was talking about. The 3Dio is just a model, tascams, blue yeti, and other models too.

Isn't that great? You should look up hayang ASMR, HABO ASMR, sato ASMR, and cuppacat ASMR. They're great animated channels!

I can't stand ASMR. It always feels like my personal space is being violated when I hear it. Too close to my ears, please back off! ohnoes

I do not watch ASMR. I do not like it. It makes my skin crawl and makes me uncomfortable. I cant explain why, I just do not like it.

I don't like ASMR and I should be allowed to kill anyone who pops their gum.

I get that kind of experience from sufficiently emotional music, but whispering and crinkling sounds do absolutely nothing for me.

Emotional music makes me experience frisson, which ime is a totally different (albeit superficially similar) sensation to ASMR

Well, if that's frisson, I like frisson. I don't "get" ASMR and I've tried.

Unintentional stuff like Bob Ross, doctor's exams, crystal healing woo bullshit, or people making shoes in complete silence.

Mouth sounds make me want to put a fist through my monitor.

ASMR doesn't do anything for me, but this is my favorite ASMR video anyway.

scissor haircuts and spray bottles are big triggers. baba sen / cosmic barber thing was a good one, RIP.

also dig unintentional stuff, like the classic TM Lewin navy suit fitting and woo shit like mesmerism or really absurd chiropractic/energy healing. the kookier the better.

I don't do it too often but I love Heather Feather to pieces and miss her dearly. I usually don't listen to it for the tingling aspects of it but honestly someone just talking to me about something is deeply soothing

When I first learned ASMR several years ago I was really confused that people had to listen to leaves crunching and shit to feel the sensation, because I’ve been able to do it manually since before I could remember. I know not everyone can do that. It’s a fun trick showing someone I can give myself goosebumps at will.
