Thats why i cant stand living without adblock. I even have gone out of my way to install an adblocker and special youtube client on my fire tv stick.
It always blows my mind to remember that most people don't use AdBlock.
I tried turning it off not long ago only to find YouTube had doubled the number of ads and has made them unskippable. Needless to say, AdBlock went right back on.
How can you put adblock on those fire stick things? Didn't know that was possible.
The magic works because the OS is based on Android and it allows for the installation of apps outside the store. For general adblock, i use Blokada which works by setting up a local VPN that filters out ad traffic. For youtube tho, they somehow manage to bypass it on tv. For that case i installed Smart Youtube TV which uses its own client with an inbuilt ad filter.
