    for most reactor designs, yes, but there are alternatives and so many designs that if we properly researched every avenue it would be the most versatile power source (which it already is but then it would be zero contest)

      I'm not a super nerd when it comes to nuclear power tech, wasn't aware there were designs that didn't use water for cooling or to move the turbines.

        dont quote me on this my nuclear physicist guy aint around rn but im quite sure a thorium salt reactor uses salt as a coolant
