It's honestly just embarrassing. It really reminds me of uni days back before 2010 where there was always an extremely online contingent of "leftists" who would spend literally all of their time arguing in the library.
It's a shame too because while reddit is garbage, the thing that made r/chapo so entertaining was that it was clearly so unlike reddit in that it was more about being anti-debate-nerd than about endlessly arguing about dumb online shit.
It attracted dumbass reddit chuds who then immediately were met with "lol no die bich, im fucking your dad" whereas this site obviously isn't doing that at all, and instead seems to just be a sort of cloistered little shell for people to retreat to. The sense of humor is just gone.
I think the problem isn't the constant arguing, it's that the arguing is utterly sincere.
You don't have to be an irony poisoned south park guy to get that stuff can be too online. We seem to have totally rejected this and swung in the vastly opposite direction, real vampire castle hours.
