I'm spitefully sharing because I saw it and I want others to suffer.

the crime that is latent within us (the privileges accrued to whites after hundreds of years of white supremacy) we must commit against ourselves (by watching dogshit tv)

It's the television equivalent of digging through shit and mud for two hours because there's a tiny chance you might find a little gold nugget that will be enough to pay for your trip to do it all again next week.

Just about over a decade, since What up with that (the only funny series of recent sketches) first aired in 2009 according to a quick search

I was prepared to shit on it, but it's actually much better than I remember SNL being. Spelling out the garbage truck joke sucked, and I had no idea that was supposed to be Doug for most of the skit, he seemed like just a CNN host. also, the Joe Biden lines weren't that funny, but otherwise, alright cold open. I think they did like 4 years of cold opens with that cross-dressing Lindsey graham character, it's good to be past that.

I love the looks in both of their eyes when they first saw each other, deep, unconditional regard and admiration for the other. Such genuine connection. And I’ve watched this skit at least 20x tonight, and I’m still smiling. How wonderful we can laugh at ourselves and lift each other up!! So coolala!!!

Literally days after a big profile of Lorne Michaels came out where he tried to rerun the whole "SNL makes fun of both sides" thing that he's tried to convince people of for decades. Ok, Lorne. Ok.
