Go figure. I saw someone in one of these fursuits in Beijing this Saturday, just walking around the art district being cute, not advertising anything or being a mascot. Shouldn't be too surprising, given how ordinary it is to see people wearing lolita dresses or hanfu around China
The author is super sus, their youtube videos like to include drive-by anti-china quips, like bringing up China is genociding Muslims, or covered up the pandemic to save face, in sections completely unrelated to those topics. I also felt a weird attitude to Asian men in Iron Widow, so I checked around and saw Asian guys were saying the same thing, and that their work more broadly disregards them.
If you want queer English Chinese fantasy, the Radiant Emperor Duology is very good.
If you write a check for 1.00, it's easier to turn it into 1,000.00 than 1,00 is to 1.000,00
Edit: when you write the tip on a check at a restaurant, it is just one field for the numbers, no words.

I had my forecasted "uh oh" moment when I got to the line "the most revolutionary thing that you can do is something different"
they're kind of symbolic. the Chinese word 鼠 refers to both rats and mice, 羊 to both goats and sheep. they definitely understand these are different animals, but there is no consistency in how they're represented. In the north, it's usually depicted as a sheep, and in the south it's usually a goat.
Similarly, the South East Asia, the Ox is a water buffalo.
In Malaysia, the Rabbit is a mousedeer, and they call the Dragon the "Large Snake" and the snake "Second snake"
Letting the Chinese people on my China Southern Airlines flight know I'm one of the good ones and completely well adjusted by listening to East is Red for 8 hours on open back headphones.
the Vitus by the same company is my favorite. Dunkel is also good.

hold on, the empire only wanted to build a cracker slaughter ray?
this is probably insanely harmful, at least far worse than flat-earthers, but It's still whimsical when reactionaries revive theories of 16th century natural philsophers like this and telegony and stuff compared to the normal social Darwinism shit.
I didn't think I liked opera much, but if there is a classical composer you like, you should check out what operas they wrote, you might be surprised

If you have any suggestions, please share them. I couldn't figure out how to make the score counter unclickable without deleting it.
arresting people have valid warrants. Netanyahu is presumed to have diplomatic immunity, so his arrest warrant isn't valid in at least 193 countries. Any country he travels to is implied to be offering him safe conduct by their ratifying the VCDR, unless the explicitly say he's not welcome.
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Castlevania came out in '17, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole season has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the episodes a big boost. it's been compared to Overlord, but I think Alucard (A bit on the nose, no?) has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
