When you're scrolling through social media please keep in mind that Social Media users, especially Reddit, Twitter, and Bsky are deeply strange freaks and may not be representative of the general population. There are lots of normal people in America too. Admittedly, Id on't know any of them because I haven't touched grass in years, but they exist.
Always worth keeping in mind: No one ever spends money to astroturf good opinions.
Not what moneys for, will error out. Try with your bad opinions and hope the good ones can be organically derived.
Come to think of it; Pushing turbo-racist shit on Reddit is itself propaganda. There are definitely bot farms pushing at least some of these posts to convince bazinga white men they gotta get more racist.
But if they dont get more racist, how will they tolerate working in the Nazi factory?
There are likely no more than 1 million commenters on Reddit. 5 years ago, main subs had around 500,000 unique commenters at max, with small minorities of that making up most of that group. Excuse the slate star codex sub link, but someone put it better than I: https://www.reddit.com/r/slatestarcodex/comments/9rvroo/most_of_what_you_read_on_the_internet_is_written/ (possible cw for ableism)
Do not use social media as a litmus test as power users make most content.

It does give a lot of insight into how people in Washington think
is there a plugin to detect bots? would be feasible and awesome
