For this Sunday Slop Night, first up is Buster Keaton’s The Cameraman (1928), wherein he becomes a cinematographer to impress his crush. It is considered one of his best films, and one of the better silent films in general, so let’s watch it. After that is Joachim Trier’s The Worst Person in the World (2021), a highly-acclaimed Norwegian rom-com about an early-30s woman who has failed to launch her career and her love life. Will she succeed? I guess we’ll find out. This is Trier’s biggest hit to date and it won a bunch of awards, and was nominated for the Best Foreign Film Oscar.
